My hubby informed me that a chain of drugstores here in Canada recently was under fire for playing Christmas music the day after Halloween.
So when is it appropriate to not only start playing Christmas music but also to put up the decorations?
In my opinion, I like to start the day after Remembrance Day (here in Canada November 11). Remembrance Day is a National day to pay respect to all of those who have served in our countries armed forces. I take the day to Remember.
Then I decorate!
Time to break out all the decorations, turn up Deck the Halls and have fun.
And just for the record, when my ipod is on shuffle in July I will still listen to Jingle Bell Rock :)

Christmas growin' up
As an extension of my introduction...
Christmas was Awesome. Every single year. My mother made sure of it.
To some kids Christmas was great, my Christmas's were EPIC. We always had a fantastic real tree, loads of presents, fine baked goods on pretty little plates, a whole ceramic light up village, a mouth watering feast, stockings hung over a real fireplace...I could go on and on.
As a mother of two young boys I want to start my own EPIC family Christmas. I want them to experience all the joys of the holidays. I want them to grow up and tell their children how much fun Christmas was when they were little and (hopefully) carry on some lovely family traditions.
Tomorrow we are off to Saskatoon to watch the live show of "How to train your Dragon" for my son's birthday. I hope to sneak in some holiday shopping.
As long as time and diaper changes and hubby allows :)
Wish me luck.

Why blog about Christmas?
Welcome to my brand new blog!
I was spending some time on pinterest lately (who isn't?) and I was trying to organize my thoughts about all of the great ideas for Christmas that I kept seeing everywhere. Decorations, gifts, baking....it was enough to make me dizzy!
My thought was to create a blog for myself to organize all of my Christmas ideas so I can plan and execute many awesome Christmas celebrations for years to come. (If anyone else reads this and gets some great ideas that is just an added bonus!)
With Halloween just completed yesterday I realize I need to plan EARLY for these great Holidays or they kinda sneak up on you (Last minute costumes again!)
So here we go...
